MODERN BATIK ART WORKSHOPS
With our sister company Modern Batik Art Workshops, we also provide training in the modern batik art technique. The Modern Batik technique provides an opportunity for those living in poverty to create a brighter future for themselves and their families by equipping them with marketable skills in a short period of time. It is a sustainable art form that can take place at a grass root level using local materials and supplies. Workshop participants are taught the basic principles of applying wax and dye to fabric to create modern and traditional patterns step-by-step. Once these skills are developed the possibilities are endless. The fabric can be supplied to fashion and interior designers worldwide. This patterned fabric can also be used to make products such as clothing, accessories and home accents that can be sold both locally and internationally.
